Naval Air Station (NAS) Corpus Christi environmental staff and the Texas Sea Turtle Stranding and Salvage Network (STSSN) prepare to transport rescued green sea turtles to a local rehabilitation facility following a cold-stunning event. Between January 19-26, the teams rescued 18 turtles impacted by a sudden cold snap across the Gulf Coast. After rehabilitation, the turtles will be released back into the ocean in areas with suitable water temperatures and habitats.
