Spc. Yeons Tomas, an infantryman assigned to 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, fires an M240 machine gun from a support-by-fire position during a blank-fire exercise as part of Exercise Gothic Sentinel at Ethan Allen Firing Range, Vermont, Feb. 20, 2025. The exercise challenged Soldiers with tough, realistic training designed to enhance combat readiness and lethality in cold-weather conditions. The 360-degree camera mounted on his Advanced Combat Helmet captured real-time footage for post-exercise review, allowing leaders to assess tactics, refine unit coordination, and improve training effectiveness.
