U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Miguel Delacruz, an aircraft ordnance technician with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 121, Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, moves to load a GAU-22/A gatling gun pod during exercise Cope North 25 at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Feb. 11, 2025. The GAU-22/A is a 4-barrel gun that can hold up to 220 25mm rounds that have about the explosive force of a grenade. CN25 provided the opportunity for MAG-12 squadrons to participate in realistic combat training with the Royal Australian Air Force, Japan Air Self-Defense Force, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Navy to ensure the success of combined air and space operations.
