2nd Lt. Hayden Smith, assigned to 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment,1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, briefs Soldiers before a Mass Casualty exercise on Forward Operating Station Trzebien, Poland, Feb. 21, 2025. MASCAL exercises are designed to prepare Soldiers and sharpen their response skills in mass casualty situations. This exercise was the first time U.S. forces have coordinated with local emergency medical services in Boleslawiec for training purposes. 2-7IN BN arrived in Poland last month in order to serve with V Corps as the Army's rotational forces along NATO's eastern flank.
