DEDEDO, Guam (Feb. 18, 2025) – U.S. Army Lt. Col. Jonathan Stafford, commander, Task Force Talon, briefs Daniel Ramirez, military legislative assistant, and members of his staff delegation on the Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system during a visit to Task Force Talon, Feb. 18.
Task Force Talon, composed of Soldiers from the 38th Air Defense Artillery Brigade and the Guam National Guard, operates the THAAD missile defense system to protect the U.S. territory in the Western Pacific.
Ramirez and staff traveled to Guam to meet with military leaders and government officials to receive updates on military construction, infrastructure, energy, and contingency operations in the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility. (U.S. Navy photo by William J. Busby III)
