The City of Grafenwoehr held Volkstrauertag at the Grafenwoehr Market Square. Volkstrauertag is a national day of remembrance in Germany and is one of the so-called silent days. Since 1952, the memorial day has been celebrated two Sundays before the first Sunday of Advent. During the ceremony the community commemorates members of the armed forces of all nations and civilians who died in armed conflicts, to include victims of violent oppression.
