In October 2024, soldiers of the United States Maneuvering Assistance Team with the Security Forces Assistance Brigade enjoyed a light-hearted moment over local cuisine with members of the Ivorian Armed Forces 4th Infantry Battalion while conducted training in Seguela, Côte d'Ivoire. U.S. Africa Command is one of seven U.S. Department of Defense geographic combatant commands. The command is responsible for all U.S. military operations, exercises, and security cooperation, and conducts crisis response on the African continent to advance U.S. interests and promote regional security, stability, and prosperity.
