U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Daniel B. Taylor, assistant wing commander of 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), is rung aboard before a tour of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) during the 3rd MAW Commander’s Course on Feb. 26, 2025. The tour reinforced the vital partnership between the Navy and Marine Corps, highlighting the integration of Marine aviation with naval operations in support of expeditionary and amphibious warfare for 3rd MAW leaders.
