SUBIC, Philippines (Jan. 28, 2025) Philippine Navy Cmdr. Regan Ola, Philippine Naval Sea Systems Command, exchanges ballcaps with U.S. Navy Cmdr. Richard Mayer, the commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Benfold (DDG 65), while in port Subic Bay, Jan. 28. Benfold is forward-deployed and assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
