56th SBCT welcomes camaraderie, friendly competition and marksmanship at pistol match

U.S. Army Spc. Tyler Webb, a computer/detection systems repairer with the 2nd Cavalry Regiment, changes his M17 pistol magazine during a standing stage of an excellence-in-competition match at Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, March 9, 2025. The competition consisted of two events: a 30-yard slow fire match and a four-stage excellence-in-competition match whereby 10 percent of the top eligible competitors could earn career points toward the Distinguished Pistol Shot Badge. U.S. Soldiers with 2CR and the 7th Army Training Command joined the 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team at the pistol competition, thus contributing to camaraderie among units, the opportunity to earn career points toward the Distinguished Pistol Shot Badge and improved readiness and lethality in marksmanship training.
