U.S. Army Paladins lethal precision thunders in Latvia and Lithuania

A U.S. Army M109A7 Paladin self-propelled howitzer manned by Staff Sgt. Julian Hernandez, a section chief, Sgt. Ethan Howell, a gunner, and Pfc. Kenlinton Hampton-Small, a cannoneer with Charlie Battery, 1st Battalion, 41st Field Artillery Regiment, 41st Field Artillery Brigade, fires an artillery shell during the Table VI live-fire certifications at Pabrade Training Area, Lithuania, Mar. 06, 2025. German soldiers provided targeting information to U.S. soldiers operating the Paladins using the Artillery Systems Cooperative Activities (ASCA) during the certification. ASCA allows artillery commands to communicate digitally, in real-time, nullifying language barriers and increasing signal speeds. V Corps security cooperation efforts with NATO militaries help forces develop lethality, interoperability, and skills critical to defeating potential adversaries. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt. Rose Di Trolio)
