YOKOSUKA, Japan (March 22, 2025) — Visitors of the 29th Yokosuka Spring Festival 2025 onboard Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), stand by in anticipation at the Mikasa Park as the gate prepares to open. Scheduled during Japan’s cherry blossom season, the annual open base event gives community members and guests the opportunity to enjoy the cherry blossoms and spring weather together, highlighting the friendship between the U.S. Navy and the City of Yokosuka. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
