YOKOSUKA, Japan (March 22, 2025) — Capt. Les Sobol, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) speaks with Mass Communication Specialist (MC) 2nd Class Anthony Robledo, near left, and MC2 T’ara Tripp, far left, assigned to Armed Forces Network Yokosuka, as they appear on a live radio show during the 29th Yokosuka Spring Festival 2025. Scheduled during Japan’s cherry blossom season, the annual open base event was held by CFAY to give community members and guests the opportunity to enjoy the cherry blossoms and spring weather together, highlighting the friendship between the U.S. Navy and the City of Yokosuka. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
