Medical professionals of the Lesser Antilles Medical Team (LAMAT) 25 perform arteriovenous (AV) fistula surgery on a dialysis patient during the LAMAT 2025 mission at Modern Medical & Diagnostic Center, Georgetown, Saint Vincent, March 17, 2025. An AV fistula placement is a surgically created connection between an artery and a vein, used as a preferred vascular access for dialysis in patients with kidney disease.
