James Campbell High School students with Team 8871, the Saber robotics team, collaborate to work on their robot at the Hawaii Regional FIRST Robotics competition held at Saint Louis High School in Honolulu, March 22, 2025. Volunteers from Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii, along with other U.S. Navy commands such as Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and NAVFAC Pacific participated as mentors and coaches for specific high school teams. This year’s theme is “Reefscape,” inspired by the ocean and its diverse ecosystems encouraging teams to explore STEM and collaboration to innovate for a better world with healthy oceans.
