Republic of Korea Marine Corps, Maj. In Gyu Jang, an operations planner with ROK Marine Corps Headquarters, receives an award by U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Roger Turner, commanding general of III Marine Expeditionary Force, during the ending ceremony of exercise Freedom Shield 25 at Camp Mujuk, South Korea, March 20, 2025. Maj Jang was recognized for his exceptional work performance and contributions to the exercise. Freedom Shield is an exercise that provides iterative opportunities for Republic of Korea Marine Corps and U.S. Marine Corps units to train together, improving their combined capabilities to deter threats and maintain peace on the Korean Peninsula.
