Hallock Mohler, receives a thank-you gift from the Naval Safety and Environmental Training Center (NAVSAFENVTRACEN) Chief's Mess during a celebration of the 132nd birthday of the rank of Chief Petty Officer April 1. Mohler, a retired Chief Yeoman and currently the Executive Director of the training center was the guest speaker at the celebration. Established April 1, 1893, the rank of chief petty officer formalized leadership roles for senior enlisted Sailors, cementing their position as technical experts and mentors.
