A U.S. Air Force client systems technician from the 48th Intelligence Support Squadron removes a hard disk drive (HDD) from a formerly Secret Internet Protocol Router Network enabled computer so the HDD can be destroyed in accordance with operations security (OPSEC) principles at Beale Air Force Base, California, March 21, 2025. The purpose of OPSEC is to prevent adversaries from obtaining sensitive information that can be used maliciously by proactively identifying and addressing vulnerabilities and implementing safeguards for protection.
