Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus thanks Under Secretary of the Navy Robert Work for his efforts for the last four years during Work's farewell ceremony at the Pentagon. During the ceremony, Mabus presented Work with a Navy Distinguished Public Service Award for leading the Navy through five budget cycles, his instrumental role in introducing the Freedom and Independence-class Littoral Combat Ships and management of multi-year procurement strategies, which lead to $5 billion in savings to the Navy.
