    1st Marine Aircraft Wing

U.S. Marine Staff Sgt. Matthew Sablam, a motor transport operations chief, with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 171, Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, operates a Humvee Egress Assistance Trainer (HEAT) at Camp Humphreys, South Korea, April 21, 2025. The HEAT exposes service members to the disorientation and physical strain that occurs during a tactical vehicle rollover, so that in the event one occurs they are prepared to navigate the situation. MWSS-171 deployed to South Korea to improve readiness in aviation ground support operations for Marine, joint, and allied forces on the Korean peninsula. Sablam is a native of Hawaii.
