ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 25, 2025) — Commanding Officer of the Harpers Ferry-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Oak Hill (LSD 51), Cmdr. Matuwo I. Olufokunbi, speaks to the bridge watch team during the ship’s departure in support of Exercise Chesapeake 2025. Exercise Chesapeake showcases U.S. Navy and Marine Corps integration, capable of delivering combined lethality to deter aggression and defend the homeland, and the strength of the U.S.-French naval partnership. The exercise, taking place off the coast of North Carolina, underscores the commitment to interoperability, maritime readiness, and shared values, advancing joint amphibious capabilities in line with the National Defense Strategy.
