ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 26, 2025) — Sailors assigned to sea and anchor detail aboard the Harpers Ferry-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Oak Hill (LSD 51), fake down lines after departing Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Virginia, in support of Exercise Chesapeake 2025. Exercise Chesapeake showcases U.S. Navy and Marine Corps integration, capable of delivering combined lethality to deter aggression and defend the homeland, and the strength of the U.S.-French naval partnership. The exercise, taking place off the coast of North Carolina, underscores the commitment to interoperability, maritime readiness, and shared values, advancing joint amphibious capabilities in line with the National Defense Strategy.
