Sgt. Joshua Downs, a combat medic assigned to 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (LI), reads a memorial while touring Torbole, Italy, on April 28, 2025. The memorial honors 25 Soldiers from the 10th Mountain Division who lost their lives while attempting to cross Lake Garda when their DUKW (Army amphibious vehicle) sank on April 30, 1945, during World War II.
