The Rev. John Hotze, judicial vicar for the Wichita Diocese, describes Father Emil Kapaun's vestments, on display at Kapaun Mt. Caramel Catholic High School in Wichita, Kan. The school, named after Kapaun, has many of his personal effects on display. Kapaun served as an Army chaplain during World War II and the Korean War. His heroic actions during the latter earned him the Distinguished Service Cross, which will be upgraded to the Medal of Honor in an April 11, 2013, White House ceremony. (DOD photo by Jacqueline M.
