Sergeant Major Michael L. Kufchak, the 1st Marine Division sergeant major, and Sgt. Maj. David L. Jobe, the incoming division sergeant major, visit 5th Marine Regiment, March 21, 2013. Kufchak, a native of Youngstown, Ohio, and Jobe, a native of Burleson, Texas, both served with 5th Marines, though they have never crossed paths during their time in the Marine Corps. Jobe is scheduled to take Kufchak’s position during a relief, appointment and retirement ceremony here, April 5.
