Marty Lepak fires up a shot during the Operation Hardwood basktetball tournament Aug. 30 at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Lepak won the event after several tie-breakers.
Operation Hardwood "hoops with the troops" is a double-elimination basketball tournament made up of teams of servicemembers from the eight Kuwait military camps. Each team is coached by an NCAA basketball coach, who flew over seas to coach and mentor the teams as well as visit with troops.
