Competitors of the Moral, Welfare and Recreation sponsored Spartan Race start the event with a sprint to the first obstacle, in the four-mile race at Fort Carson’s Iron Horse Park, May 4, 2013. Soldiers, family members and Friends participated in the event that consisted of more than 25 obstacles, ranging from crawling through mud under barbed wire, to carrying cinder blocks up the side of a hill.
