Kazakh Master Sgt. Komek Kurmanali and Sgt. Ergali Zhuldasov place munitions in preparation for a controlled detonation on Forward Operating Base Delta, June 5. A 20-man engineer platoon from Kazakhstan provides explosive ordnance disposal support for the FOB. The controlled detonation, which that took place June 5, destroyed ordnance turned in by Iraqi Civil Defense personnel from al-Kut.
