Kazakh Sgt. Ergali Zhuldasov places C-4 blocks as an accelerant for munitions to be destroyed in a controlled detonation on Forward Operating Base Delta, June 5. A 20-man engineer platoon from Kazakhstan provides Explosive Ordinance Disposal support for the FOB. The controlled detonation, which took place June 5, destroyed ordnance turned in by Iraqi civil defense personnel from al-Kut.
