U.S. Petty Officer 2nd Class Nile Hunt, Joint Task Force Civil Support, medical noncommissioned officer in charge, lifts deployment gear to assist with the arrival of JTF-CS members to the deployed location of Fort A.P. Hill during the unit’s arrival to Exercise Sudden Response on May 21. Sudden Response 13 is a four day command post exercise that tests the movement and capability of JTF-CS in terms of equipment and personnel during the initial phase of a CBRN incident. JTF-CS provides command and control for Department of Defense CBRN response forces to assist local, state, federal and tribal partners in saving lives, preventing further injury and enabling community recovery.
