Sailors pass cases of basic home personal supplies for storage at West Central school for later distribution to needy members of the community during the Philippines phase of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training 2008. Philippine and U.S. maritime forces are supporting a variety of humanitarian and at-sea activities during the Philippines phase of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training 2008. CARAT is an annual series of bilateral maritime training exercises between the United States and six Southeast Asia nations to build relationships and enhance the operational readiness of the participating forces.
