Captain Timothy Drieslein, a KC-130J pilot with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response and La Crosse, Wis. native, was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal aboard Moron Air Base, Spain, May 11, for his role as mission commander during the transatlantic flight of the SP-MAGTF’s six MV-22 Osprey and two KC-130J from Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C. to Moron Air Base.
