Staff Sgt. Bryan Johnson, staff noncommissioned officer in charge of the Marine mobile air traffic control team from Albany, N.Y., assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 266 (Reinforced), 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) watches as an MV-22B Osprey prepares to take off from a forward arming and refueling point during an exercise in the 5th Fleet area of responsibility, April 29, 2013. The 26th MEU is currently deployed as part of the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group to the 5th Fleet area of responsibility. The 26th MEU operates continuously across the globe, providing the president and unified combatant commanders with a forward-deployed, sea-based quick reaction force. The MEU is a Marine Air-Ground Task Force capable of conducting amphibious operations, crisis response, and limited contingency operations.
