Sgt. David Branch, an airframe mechanic with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response and Hickory, N.C. native, was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for coordinating aircraft maintenance needs prior to the arrival of the aircraft on aboard Moron Air Base, May 7, 2013, enabling the task force’s aircraft to reach a state of readiness ahead of schedule. The SP-MAGTF will initially be located in Moron, Spain, within reach of the West African region, allowing the force to be readily available for rapid crisis response and to defend U.S. security interests.
