Capt. Timothy Drieslein, a KC-130J pilot with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response and Lacrosse, Wis. native, was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal for his role as mission commander during the transatlantic flight of the SP-MAGTF's aircraft aboard Moron Air Base, May 7, 2013. The SP-MAGTF will initially be located in Moron, Spain, within reach of the West African region, allowing the force to be readily available for rapid crisis response and to defend U.S. security interests.
