The graves of those lost in the Battle of Belleau Wood during World War I are temporarily decorated with American and French flags for the Memorial Day ceremony at Belleau cemetery, May 26. Marines of 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division preformed drill and provided rifle squad for the Memorial Day ceremony alongside their French marine counterparts as part of a long tradition intended to memorialize those lost at the Battle of Belleau Wood during World War I.
