General Raymond T. Odierno, chief of Staff of the Army, Gen. Vincent Brooks and Lt. Gen. Francis Wiercinski render honors prior to the U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC) change of command ceremony at Fort Shafter, Hawaii, Tuesday, July 2. In the ceremony, Brooks relieved Wiercinski, marking the first time since 1974 USARPAC has been a Four-Star command, which plays a vital role in homeland defense for Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, Japan and our allies.
