Soldiers from U.S. Army Pacific units render honors to the United States of America opening the U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC) change of command ceremony at Fort Shafter, Hawaii, Tuesday, July 2. In the ceremony, Gen. Vincent Brooks relieved Lt. Gen. Francis Wiercinski, marking the first time since 1974 USARPAC has been a Four-Star command, which plays a vital role in homeland defense for Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, Japan and our allies.
