SubjuGator, an autonomous underwater vehicle, built by students from University of Florida's Machine Intelligence Laboratory, submerges during the 16th annual RoboSub competition at Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center's Transducer Evaluation Center Anechoic Pool. RoboSub is an event co-sponsored by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International and the U.S. Office of Naval Research to advance the development of AUVs by challenging a new generation of engineers to perform realistic missions in an underwater environment.
