Approximately 1,000 service members from 13 different nations are participating in Khaan Quest 2013 in Mongolia, with a command post exercise (CPX) and field training exercise (FTX) at Five Hills Training Area in Mongolia, both focusing on peacekeeping and stability operations. U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific is the executive agent for this year's exercise. Kilo Company 3/3, stationed out of Hawaii, is currently part of the Unit Deployment Program to Okinawa. Landis is from Pleasanton, Calif.
