    Lance Corporals Rob Magnuson and Rafael Cortez buddy drag Lance Cpl. Jeff Landis, a simulated casualty, while conducting combat first aid training, Aug. 5. Approximately 1,000 service members from 13 different nations are participating in Khaan Quest 2013 in Mongolia, with a command post exercise (CPX) and field training exercise (FTX) at Five Hills Training Area in Mongolia, both focusing on peacekeeping and stability operations. U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific is the executive agent for this year's exercise. The Marines pictured are with Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion 3rd Marine Regiment, stationed out of Hawaii, and are currently part of the Unit Deployment Program to Okinawa. Magnuson, a graduate of Plano Senior High School, is from Plano, Texas. Cortez, a graduate of Hastings High School, is from Houston.
