American and Japanese soldiers take a group photo during opening day of the bilateral Noncommissioned Officer Exchange program at the JGSDF’s 15th Brigade headquarters in Naha, Japan on Aug. 5. This five day event allowed seven U.S. Army NCOs to learn how the JGSF works and included combatives, a physical fitness test, training observation and a history class on the Battle of Okinawa.
