Cmdr. John Korioth and Lt. Cmdr. Steven Kummeth, assigned to the 354th Civil Affairs Brigade deployed to Camp Lemonier, Djibouti, look over a map with local veterinarians and drivers before heading out to vaccinate and treat cattle, livestock, poultry and canines in Wianono, Gulu District, Uganda, during a veterinary civil action project. This is phase two of a four-phase project to improve the overall health of village animals while training and educating Ugandan veterinarians. Vaccines ranged from the treatment and prevention of encephalitis and rabies to the eradication of several forms of intestinal parasites.
