Yuki Haramoto, Kizuna Project delegate speaks with Sgt. 1st Class Ernest White, U.S Army Public Affairs-Midwest, following a presentation that expressed appreciation for the overall U.S. military support, to Japan after the March 11, 2011, tsunami that hit Japan. The Kizuna Project is sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to help spread awareness of what took place on March 11, what is happening now, and to express their appreciation for the relief aid to the people of Japan.
According to one of the project delegates, this was the only opportunity that the group had to present to a U.S. military audience while in the U.S. for the past six months. The group expressed that this was a dream of theirs’ before they returned to Japan next month.
