Approximately 430 Airmen from the 165th Airlift Wing participated in large-scale combat readiness exercise Faint Horizon March 6-9, 2025. This exercise was designed to test the Air Force’s new Deployable Combat Wing concept, aimed at enhancing rapid, integrated power projection from dispersed locations.

After nearly two decades of service in the Georgia Air National Guard, Master Sgt. Jason Hester is set to take on a new challenge. Hester, public health flight chief of the 165th Medical Group, is assuming the role of Public Health Functional Area and Component Field Manager (FAM) this summer, a position that will see him overseeing public health operations at a national level.
