JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska —On June 18, 2024, a U.S. Air Force colonel assigned to Alaskan Command was involved in a civilian plane crash on Crescent Lake near Moose Pass on the Kenai Peninsula.
