The event features more than 40 Air Force, Army and civilian aerial acts, July 25-27, and has an expected crowd of more than 200,000 people. Service members assigned to the 3rd Wing and 477th Fighter Group have returned to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska from the United States Central Command area of responsibility following a rapid deployment that underscored their operational expertise and combat readiness.
Archaeologists from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Northern Land Use Research Alaska, and area tribal councils encountered a birch bark-lined cache at a known Dene site along Upper Cook Inlet in June of 2024.
