An M777A2 155 mm lightweight howitzers is fired Aug. 21 as part of Korean Marine Exchange Program 13-8. Artillerymen use direct fire when a target is within 2000 meters of their location. It no longer requires them to use coordinates to plot and engage, but relies on the accuracy of the artilleryman looking through the gun’s sights.
