Fires burn over a simulated aircraft during an annual aircraft mishap training exercise aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Sept. 4. The simulator used during the exercise provided a life-size target allowed Marines with Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting room to work and follow the same procedures they would if it had been an actual burning aircraft.
