Marissa Wentling, wife of Spc. Matthew Wentling, 3rd General Support Aviation Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, shows off a thank you card that will be included in a care package her Girl Scout troop will send to troops deployed April 30. The Wentling family was named the first runner up, 2013 Association of the United States Army Volunteer Family of the Year. “Time is precious and we recognize that it takes our volunteers to help take care of our families,” said Lt. Col. William Braman, 3-82 GSAB commander. “The Wentling family has gone out of their way to take care of this unit and their community in every way they could. We couldn’t be more proud of them.”
